COVID-19

Centers for Disease Control (CDC) announced new, more-permissive guidance on mask wearing for fully vaccinated individuals in non-healthcare settings. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) and Public Health Madison Dane County (PHMDC) followed suit with similar recommendations. May 18, 2021, The PHMDC announced that all Dane County orders will be in effect until November 27, 2021.

University Podiatry Associates welcomes this positive news and that public health measures are making progress against COVID-19.

CDC Guidance specifically states their new recommendations are

**NOT INTENDED FOR HEALTHCARE SETTINGS**

Therefore University Podiatry Associates along with UW and affiliates are not changing their recommendations related to mask wearing at this time.

**BARRIER MASKS ARE STILL REQUIRED WITHIN UNIVERSITY PODIATRY ASSOCIATES FOR STAFF, PATIENTS, AND VISITORS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE**

We appreciate everyone’s assistance in this matter until which a time when theses polices can be lifted/amended.
