Diabetics

Our physicians have treated immune-suppressed diabetic transplant patients at the UW Health University Hospital. This experience has allowed our physicians to treat some of the most complex diabetic foot problems like severe bone infections and Charcot fractures. We take pride in making sure our diabetic patients get the proper care they need by working with their referring providers to create a custom treatment plan; whether that be routine foot care, weekly wound care, or properly fitting them with custom inserts. Our staff will work closely with not only the patient but their Primary Care Physician and/or Endocrinologist to determine the appropriate course of treatment.

University Podiatry Associates can refer to a handful of local companies that specialize in the fitting of high-quality diabetic shoes and inserts.
